Leaven Hour

Yesterday, M did not attend school because his knee was sore and swollen. Since I was in school earlier, I decided to buy lunch and wait for him to be in school to share it. We usually share a 7-foot long Subway sandwich. Finally, he made it to school at 11.35am. Phew... He was limping so it was quite comical to see him that way. Suddenly, he looked very tame. Haa...

In the late evening, LL and I attended Leaven Hour at Stephen's Chapel. Leaven HourLeaven Hour is a monthly event for young adults focused around Eucharist and Eucharistic Adoration. Launched in March 2006, it is sponsored by a number of youth movements across the Archdiocese and regularly attended by over 70 young adults.

Mass is followed by prayer, song, Scripture and reflection around Eucharistic Adoration, finishing at 6.30pm.

I liked the songs played at Leaven Hour. There's only a guitarist and he has amazing talent in music. It's not too rock but yet very spiritually-charged. I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit too. It was calm and peaceful for my soul when the sesion ended. The next session would be on 22nd May and it would be a special day for me. I was telling LL to attend with me and we could go drinking after that. She could stay over at my place after that too.

We then went for a quick dinner at the nearby Oriental Corner and the food there was reasonable. I ordered a Teriyaki Fish Rice but the counter staff got my order wrong and I had to wait for quite a while for my food. The food's not bad but a bit salty and too much rice!

After dinner, we headed back to the church for a music gig. There's 2 music groups performing outside church. They are up-and-coming groups to showcase their music. Although the music's not too fantastic but it was a good time to spend under the stars in the city for free entertainment. Nice weather to be out there too. In summer, the performances are usually held on Friday nights. In winter, it would be on Sunday afternoons because it would be too cold to be out there at night.

While at the music gig, we noticed a little girl. She's very cute. I caught her on camera, paying attention to the music. However, her attention span is short and she was running around just after a few minutes. She's cute...
