Life in the Spirit Seminar

This has been in plan since late May and this was the brainchild of a friend (PW) I met in Brisbane. It was finally happening on 8th and 9th August. I was glad to be part of the group that was there. I was frustrated a little with the administrative work and was not told the actual plan but I did my part as I was informed much earlier.

When I was there, I realised that I forgot to bring the name stickers that I had prepared! Argh... Anyway, I was glad that things went on smoothly. I was in-charge of the ice-breakers and I was glad that I managed to get people to loosen up a bit. I was also in-charge of teabreaks so I kept myself very busy too.

Overall, it was a good weekend as I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and me and I saw it descending on many participants as well. The presenters did talk about the Holy Spirit descends on those who believe, even if that person is not baptised. I was glad this part was included as amongst us, there were some who believed and yet not baptised.

On Friday at the healing mass, I went up for prayers and I rested in the Holy Spirit. I felt the tingling sensation around my ears and it was cold cold wind around me. On Saturday, I felt the warm sensation this time round and the tingling on my face instead. I saw flashes of white light as well. On Sunday, I felt the cold wind and the tingling on my face. This time round, I saw a ray of white light on the right corner of my right eye. Then there were flashes of yellow, green, purple and blue lights. It's amazing... After the whole weekend, I felt lighter definitely and also I felt God's love over me as he comforts me as I deal with the sadness of Fr. Rencken's passing.

Dear Lord, thank you for the wonderful experience I had at LISS. I hope to continue to serve the Bardon community in whatever way that is requested of me. I pray that You will continue to fill those who have experienced the Holy Spirit to have faith and trust in You. Let them continue to use the gifts You have given them. I pray for those who have not gotten the gifts to continue to have faith and be guided by You to love those around them. Amen.
